I have almost finished the poster. I now need to gather some audience feedback in order for me to improve the design and layout. I also need to make sure that the credits at the bottom are in the correct order of a typical conventional film poster.
I will gain feedback by posting an image on facebook and asking people to comment on it.
I like it alot, but its hard to work out that its an eye at first, you might need to turn the oppacity down on the image so that you can see the pupil and stuff
ReplyDeleteI think it looks good and very original. I do however feel that the eye would look better redder and more bloodshot maybe the same colour and the orange/red in your magazine design, this would make the eye look more bloodshot to convey horror.
ReplyDeleteWith the photo of the girls it would look better if you neaten up the edges. Another thing that you could do is change the opacity down on the characters so that you can see the eye more vividly and with the bloodshot effect I suggested as well it would look really effective.
Make sure the casting and staff are in the correct order in the text at the bottom. I like your font for the title also I feel it goes really well with the black in the outer background.
I feel that the eye would convey horror more if the eye was more of a blue colour, to represent death. Not too much though, as you won't be able to tell that it is an eye. The font used for Vengeance doesn't really convey the context of the film, maybe use a font that is stronger and bolder to reflect the meaning of the word 'Vengeance.'
